I used to have an extensive archive of photo's, articles and videos of both local and overseas Hip Hop events, graffiti etc. I have lost quite a bit and as the internet is forever, I am going to start posting everything, including old interviews from the 1990's featuring my peers in and around Cape Town, well those that I still have copies of.
Dates I am not too sure of, but the interviews range from anywhere between 1992 to 1999, the graffiti well that's anywhere from 1988 to 2005. My apologies to the writers who have since grown from Toyz to Kingz, but I need to post the stuff.
There's one or two interviews I still have on VHS from the Rugby World Cup TV 1995 channel, now known as E-TV, when they were in love with Cape Town Hip Hop.
I believe I was interviewed twice, the second interview was a humbling experience as I was asked to discuss Poetry VERSUS Rap Music and in the green room I had quite open conversations with 2 professors, a researcher and an author.
Hip Hop, you don't stop...…..
